The fun-loving student Lena (Luna Wedler), who is studying German and puppetry, starts a job that will put her world view to the test. On behalf of the "Office for Peace and Order", she begins work as a writing therapist. However, her course only has one participant: the reclusive Hugo Drowak (Karl Markovics).

Drowak is a misanthrope scarred by life. Isolated between empty bottles and his own hatred, the alcoholic old man seems lost to the outside world. But Lena counters his brusque rejection with unshakeable ambition and temperament.

When words become salvation Against all expectations, Lena ignites a hidden literary fire in Drowak. His texts about love and magic immediately cast a spell over her. But the journey into Drowak's memories comes at a price: along with the poetry, the repressed demons of his past return. Lena faces her greatest challenge: she must not only accompany Drowak on his literary journey, but also save him from his own abysses and show him the way back to the light.
