Did you know that there are up to 1.4 billion insects for every human being? In a world that could not exist without these tiny creatures, the ensemble ‘Die Liederlichen’ invites you on a very special journey of discovery. The theatrical and musical ensemble of the ‘J. A. Hiller’ Music School in Görlitz presents ‘Liederliches Mikroversum’, a parable that is as topical as it is enchanting.

Flight, diversity and the annual meadow ball. In the midst of preparations for the grand meadow ball, a disaster strikes the neighbouring meadow: a fire forces the inhabitants there to flee across the river. The local insects face an existential decision: is there enough nectar for everyone? How do they deal with the unfamiliar customs and new rules of the new arrivals?

Chansons and drama Interwoven with old German chansons, a poetic spectacle unfolds, using the insect world as a mirror to reflect on human coexistence.
