How to get there

-by train

Travel from Dresden or Cottbus or Eibau or Liberec to Zittau. From there, take the Mandaubahn railway to Hainewalde. Ask nice Hainewalde residents for directions. It is on the Blue Ribbon. (small page)

-by bus

Bus route 1 runs from Zittau via Hainewalde, Großschönau to Waltersdorf and back. Get off at Hainewalde Schloß.

-by car

Drive towards Zittau on the B96. Shortly before Zittau (300 m before a petrol station) turn into Schenkstraße, then straight ahead and after the bridge turn right, next road left and then straight ahead. Keep your eyes peeled!
