A special anniversary is just round the corner: Görlitz für Familie e.V. warmly invites you to the 20th Görlitz Children’s and Family Festival. For two decades, the family festival has been delighting generations of visitors and has long since become a fixture in the town of Görlitz’s calendar of events. Under this year’s theme: ‘Strengthening families – shaping the future’, we will be celebrating this special anniversary on 19 and 20 September 2026 together with families, children, clubs and numerous partners at Görlitz’s Marienplatz.

Full of excitement and anticipation, many Görlitz stars – young and old alike – will take to the stage, ensuring a varied programme of entertainment with performances by numerous Görlitz clubs and organisations. All guests will be able to experience the enthusiasm and talent with which young people in our town get involved, and, as always, there will be plenty of free hands-on activities, creative workshops and play areas, as well as culinary delights from the region.

Admission is, of course, free. All families, children, grandparents and anyone else who would like to join in the celebrations are warmly invited to celebrate this special anniversary with us over two days this time.

On Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm and – in keeping with this major anniversary – for the first time with an after-show party from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm. On Sunday, from 11.00 to 15.00, the theme is ‘The party continues’ – and everyone is invited.
