20th Görlitz Moped Ride at Görlitz Airfield
On 18 July 2026, we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary.
It has now been almost 20 years since we first got together with a few friends for a little moped ride. Back then, nobody could have imagined how it would all turn out.
In the same year, we met up for our second moped ride. There were 28 Simson mopeds, which felt like a huge group to us. At the age of 16, riding a moped felt like endless freedom.
This was followed by an annual meet-up, and it just kept getting bigger and bigger.
A half-day event focusing on a ride around and through Görlitz, about 40 km long, exclusively for Simson vehicles, free to join, funded by sponsors.
A great concept, we think, and the rising numbers of participants showed us that you like it too.
After the Görlitz moped ride took place in Girbigsdorf for many years, there will now be a change of venue. We are very happy to be able to use Görlitz Airfield for our meet-up this year, and we look forward to having lots of fun there with you at our anniversary.
Spread the word as much as possible, invite friends and acquaintances who’ve never been before, and let’s try to break last year’s incredible attendance record of 856 Simson vehicles.
We’ve ordered 1,000 stickers. Let’s see if we can finally use them all up this year😝
